My sister, brother-in-law, and Jesse and I were all going to go out to the ridiculous “Senior Frog’s” that was almost directly across from our condo area…but upon approaching, we were accosted by two very blond, very perky sorority types that told us it would be a “20 minute wait” - for what, we weren’t sure.  We had serious drinking goals, and ended up at the far superior “Mextreme” restaurant, where we not only had great nachos and some kind of steaky-thing, but drank much Tecate.  There was a marimba and drum combo that played two identical 15 minute sets with a break in-between, where they moved the marimba about 10 feet back and forth.  One of the marimba players was an old man with a cane and yet he did both sets.

Later on in the night, the kitchen staff were all given bandoliers and sombreros, enlisted a nearby diner in their “army,” and enacted a strange play where they did push-ups and urged a guy on a fake stuffed horse acting at Pancho Villa to return to the restaurant after he galloped down the street.  An odd attempt to amuse us, and it worked, although what it portrayed is a little less clear.  Video to follow.
